Project Overview

This scheme involves the design and planned construction of a four-storey apartment block in Litherland, developed to deliver high-quality homes for social housing provision.

The project is being designed to make efficient use of the site while responding sensitively to the surrounding residential context. The aim is to create modern, energy-efficient homes that provide long-term value for the housing provider and the local community.

Design Approach

The proposed building will feature a contemporary external appearance using durable, low-maintenance materials. Key design elements include:

• Buff brickwork with feature brick detailing to create visual interest
• Upper-level grey cladding to break up the building mass
• Flat roof construction with aluminium capping
• Powder-coated aluminium windows and doors
• Juliet balconies to selected apartments
• A clearly defined main entrance to create a strong street presence
• Secure boundary treatments and controlled access
• Dedicated bin storage facilities

The façade design introduces vertical emphasis around the central circulation core, helping to provide identity and rhythm across the elevation.
